All our essential oils are:

Natural and organic products, certified organic by CERTISUD and DEMETER.

Beyond the strict application of its specifications, Essences Naturelles Corses is committed to the creation and sustainable maintenance of a varied natural landscape with the utmost respect for its biodiversity: through its method of pruning hedges that protect birds and insects; by digging ditches that protect groundwater; by caring for百年 trees and their surroundings; by artisanally preparing its compost from distillation residues and manure to nourish and enrich the soil. Planting, fertilization, irrigation, and phytosanitary treatments are managed solely with organic products, excluding any use of chemical or synthetic products.

The harvest

Preserve to utilize natural resources

We wild-harvest the iconic plants of the Corsican maquis—wild carrot, eucalyptus, mastic, green myrtle, Nepeta, nettle, Corsican pine, rosemary—from where they naturally flourish. Each harvest is organized with our local partners at sites selected based on a deep understanding of the species and their habitats.

We have precise protocols regarding the harvesting schedule. The frequency is adapted to each plant, with a defined portion to be taken and quotas to ensure regeneration. (Active preservation: leaving a significant portion standing, rotating areas, zero root removal)

All sites are audited and certified organic by an independent controller, CERTISUD.

After many years, we have excellent command of the extraction process.

By bringing together the cultivation and processing of plants on a single site, Essences Naturelles Corses has given itself the means to achieve total and perfect control over its production.

While this may seem obvious, it is not standard practice for everyone: we harvest at maturity and favor immediate distillation of freshly cut plants. Our harvesting and distillation techniques are adapted to each plant, as are the distillation time and calibrated steam. After precise filtration to remove the last drops of water, our essential oils are stored in glass and film-lined aluminum, away from light, to preserve their aromas.
