Origins

Cultivated since the 16th century, rose geranium attracted the interest of perfumers three centuries later due to the similarity of its fragrance to that of the rose. Cheaper to produce, geranium thus became an excellent substitute essence in perfumery. When we distill hand-picked rose geranium, we keep the water from the first half-hour because that's where the active plant compounds are most concentrated.

Rose geranium hydrosol is a natural ally for the skin, especially sensitive or irritated skin. It helps to restore radiance and harmony.

Its floral fragrance will be much appreciated in fruit salad dressings or for flavoring your dishes.
Bonus: It also keeps mosquitoes away from young children's skin.

Precautions for use

Hydrolates are gentler than essential oils. They have no intrinsic contraindications.

However, this does not exclude the possibility of you reacting to the active ingredients they contain (if in doubt, perform an elbow crease test).

Storage: Please note, floral waters are fresh products. Their shelf life is therefore shorter than that of essential oils (approximately 1 year). To maximize it, be sure to store your hydrolates in a cool place, away from air, heat and light.
