Origins

Witch hazel is a shrub similar to the hazelnut tree, and is distilled specifically for its hydrosol. To obtain this floral water, we distill witch hazel branches. For every kilogram of branches, only the first liter of hydrosol is kept, a 1:1 ratio, to guarantee an optimal concentration of aromatic molecules.


This floral water is particularly beneficial for irritated or fragile skin. It is renowned for its astringent and calming properties. Witch hazel hydrosol is useful against all sorts of skin irritations or rashes: acne, heat rash, sun allergy, sunburn, razor burn... It can also be used as an aftershave or after-epilation product, without any other additives.
It also has highly valued circulatory properties.

Precautions for use

Hydrolats are milder than essential oils and do not have any intrinsic contraindications.

However, this does not exclude the possibility of you reacting to their active ingredients (if in doubt, perform an elbow crease test).

Storage: Please note that floral waters are fresh products. Their shelf life is therefore shorter than that of essential oils (approximately 1 year). To maximize their longevity, store your hydrolats in a cool place, away from air, heat, and light.
