Origins

Elecampane is an annual plant that changes location, which complicates harvesting: new sites must be sought each year. The essential oil yield is very low and varies greatly depending on climatic conditions and the harvesting site.
When Elecampane, hand-picked from wastelands and vineyards, is distilled in September, the water from the first half-hour of distillation is kept because that is where the active plant ingredients are most concentrated.


This hydrosol is very effective against winter ailments! It is a gentler alternative to its essential oil for promoting respiratory comfort. Less powerful than the latter, you won't risk the famous "Elecampane shock."


Purifying, Elecampane floral water is particularly appreciated for oily skin.

Precautions for use

Hydrolats are gentler substances than essential oils. They have no intrinsic contraindications.

However, this does not exclude the possibility of you reacting to the active ingredients they contain (if in doubt, do an elbow bend test).

Storage: Please note, floral waters are fresh products. Their shelf life is therefore shorter than that of essential oils (approximately 1 year). To maximize their shelf life, make sure to store your hydrolats in a cool place, away from air, heat, and light.
