Origins

You know mint well, its sparkling aroma, its fresh taste, and peppermint essential oil is a concentrated essence of the best this familiar little plant has to offer. The cooling sensation it provides is excellent for awakening the mind, boosting concentration, soothing skin irritations, or easing pain. But be careful, while it brings a powerful burst of freshness, you'll need to harness its potency to avoid risks and fully benefit from its properties.

Peppermint is the essential oil for minor emergencies. Nausea? A migraine? Pain to soothe? It will quickly calm you. It's not uncommon to find this essential oil in our visitors' handbags, because for many of you, it's a must-have for tackling the winding roads of Corsica!

In our garden, we have Moroccan mint, bergamot mint, and peppermint plants. But not enough to produce anything ourselves. That's why we buy it from our partner.
To fully benefit from its properties, learn how to use it safely. Peppermint is indeed a potentially neurotoxic essential oil; it should only be used occasionally, in emergencies.

It is irritating and should be diluted for skin use and limited to small areas. Even when diluted, it can cause a strong sensation of cold; excessive use can trigger hypothermia and cardiac problems. Do not use in the bath (risk of thermal shock). Inhibits homeopathic treatments.

Always use essential oils diluted in a vegetable oil. Consult our blog for dosage instructions, age indications, and methods of use for children.
