Origins

Prince of the Maquis, Myrtle is one of the most typical shrubs of Corsican vegetation. Long prized for its cosmetic and wellness benefits, it is both soothing and invigorating, proving invaluable for tired or irritated skin. Astringent and revitalizing, it improves skin quality and combats aging.

Milder than its cousin Eucalyptus, Myrtle is also ideal for creating a calming, anxiety-relieving atmosphere for the mind, and for purifying the respiratory tracts of the most sensitive individuals.

It is a decongestant and firming essential oil, as effective for clearing a blocked nose as it is for treating varicose veins.

It is harvested by hand from its natural habitat. The young shoots are distilled. Regrowth is quite rapid, allowing the process to be repeated annually. It can even be harvested twice, in spring and autumn.
